The buzz of weddings is one of the most joyful things in life, which is why I love shooting them so much. They are always so fun filled and an absolute burst of positivity with everyone celebrating of two peoples love being joined in marriage. 

I have been taking photos for over 15 years, now in my mid 30’s, I was a second photographer at a wedding when I was 17 which lead me to the career for rest of my life. In 2015 I decided to take a break from photography professionally and retrained to be a Paramedic. Whilst at University in Worcester this is where after swiping through tinder I met my now wife, after a hilarious first date of drunken antics, we quickly fell in love. I proposed on one of our favourite walks along the river in Pershore. We booked our wedding at the amazing Quantock Lakes but shortly after this we had a surprise finding out we would be having our first child, this lead us to delaying our wedding… little did we know what the future held for the world! COVID struck! We were with the couples that had to delay another year and we can not thank the understanding of Quantock Lakes enough for how well they treated us. 

Arranging a wedding and the stress of COVID gave me a massive understanding of weddings that I never had previously. After woking frontline in the ambulance service during COVID, I decided it was time for me to get back behind the camera professionally, I really missed the positivity of weddings. This led to the birth of Palm Photography.

 Why Palm Photography? I was born in Torquay, Devon, which if you did not know was famous for its Torbay Palms – I loved lived in Torbay for 27 years of my life. You can never get enough of the views there! So I thought why not use that icon from where I grew up in my photography business.

Being Paramedic has improved my photography and service massively. I have an increased attention to detail and enriched my ability to look after others both medically, professionally and in day to day life. I have always been a kind, caring and helpful individual with an ethical mindset – what does this mean? You a get a photographer you can trust.
